Something in Uraz' demeanor had drawn Suuril and Kaasashar away from their posts upon the bluff.
Once again it was foggy; the mists drifted about him, seemingly clinging to his furry face. Uraz sat stock still, eyes wide open and fixed upon a point in the distance.
Nothing unusual there. Still: "He seems unusually pensive this morning."

Ciban clawed her way up from fevered dreams; she felt sluggish, her throat dry, scratchy; her forehead hot.
She fought for clarity. It was so hard to focus upon the world… so easy to just let it go.
She would swear Kennu had been speaking to her. But as awareness grew it was Thule’s occasional, soft-spoken words which came to her attention.

“A wolf? Out on the plains?”
“Two, I think,” Kohlva related as her team crossed the river behind her. “One was moving just inside the grove and we never got a good look. But the white wolf- so huge! And so strange. The horses appeared to be ignoring him even as he ran circles around them!” A puzzled look rose in her eyes. “Perhaps with reason…”
Satho looked up from the horse carcass on the sled. “And that is?
The Western Wall was a great white wave, its lower slopes sprinkled with the green of pine groves amidst the now-bare hardwoods.
Snow now fell over the Lir’s early encampment, the grassy knoll in the foothills. But the Lir themselves had made their decision, found their new camp close upon the plains to the east, reasoning that the herds of horses were their best wager for surviving the oncoming weather.
The new site had been prepared on the banks of the river, in the lee of an over-looking bluff; additional wind-breaks had been constructed along the edges of the camp, fallen trees having been dragged in and threaded between living tr

Genesis According to the Lir, Part Two
CHAPTER THREE: The Fall
Now in this time the World had come to be fully explored, save for one small island, upon which stood a lone tree. And God had made it clear to His Children that the fruit of this Tree was forbidden to them, for its’ potential was beyond their understanding and would bring them harm. And there was a sadness behind His words which they could not understand.
Their curiosity and desire to learn kept them coming back to look upon the Tree and study its fruits, even so far as to climb upon the island and peer closely at the fruits thereon. But they kept God’s counsel and touched it not. And Lucian looked upon

I very rarely do these but this one is short and to the point, so...
Kajm is of course my first OC. I think I probably began creating him in high school, though he was not yet named; his name was determined when I was doing early anthro artwork in college.
1. He began as an otter during my college years, thanks to reading Gavin Maxwell's book 'Ring of Bright Water.' His shape-shifting capabilities and therefore his other forms developed later.
2. His

Kajm. They’ve given me Kajm, of all the Lir. How does one begin to quantify this one…. What?.... No, that was rhetorical, I’m not looking for an answer!
It isn’t as though this is the first time, either, although this is the first time since he shuttered away the vast majority of his powers. Mentions of him in both histories and biographies amount to several millions entries. And there appear to have been great changes in him along the way-
How does one quantify a god. That Is what he is.
The Lir’s world-view was shaped in part by the Creation itself. To whit:
God Created everything* in Seven days.
The Lir adopted seven primary forms through their initial shape-shifting ability.
By taking those forms the Lir also absorbed some of the psychological characteristics of the animals in question. This has led to them have somewhat differing viewpoints on their primary reason for being / their surroundings/environment / etc. Therefore the Lir government (Council, topmost tier) is composed of seven Lir, one representing each form’s views.
They classify technology across seven levels, seventh being the most advanced (wh
Due to early influences upon them, both internal and external, Lir abilities- physical, psionic and beyond- vary wildly.
Most Lir are telepathic to varying extents. For some it can be barely more than to touch and communicate with friends and mate(s); this ranges right up to – as a rough comparison - Professor-X levels. Very few would have that level and it could be much higher.
The same reads for all other psionic abilities.
There is no average physical strength but rather a baseline: lifting strength of 650 tons. The upper limit… has not been determined, though very few reach that level. One** has been recorded as causing tect
I have approved a lot of people to enter this group but my responsibilities to this group don't appear to go past that- ie, I never see submissions through my feed so unless I look into the group directly I am not sure what is going on.
I belong to about 40-50 writing groups myself, some of which are anthro / furry. But not sure of the numbers of watchers. As I need to submit one of my recent writings to a bunch of them sometime today, I shall take a look at them. Please send me a note and I shall send you the links. I very often have only found those groups by way of reading other people's stories.
